I kind of like these two tools very much but am having a small issue as my needs have grown .

I convert my vob to .m2v + .ac3 format using dvd decrypter.

then i pull these files in cuttermaran to edit the video.

my problem is I am unable to hear the sound while doing the cutter maran cuts/edits. but the final cut video (mpg muxed with Imago addin cuttermaran ) is perfectly fine

to confirm the problem is with the ac3 file i convert the ac3 to mp2 or mp3 using besweet and then feed the mp2/mp3 file to cuttermaran. i can hear the sound now while cutting/editing but alas the av synch problems surface when doing this

this has been happening for a long time , but now i have a need to hear the sound to edit the video accurately . or else i am left with creating the cut video and then having a look at it and then going back again to cuttermaran to fix it , which is a bit tedious to say the least.

would appreciate if u could provide the solution using these two tools or point out what i am doing wrong.

this happens for all vob files created by my sony 703e dvd handcam
