I have been trying to convert a wmv file (which I have deleted from frustration) to avi (xvid) using avisynth. The wmv file had audio properties of 44100k for a sample rate and a bit rate of 128kbps. The frame rate (taken from FitCD) read as 25fps I dont remember the exact codec but it was WMVx (with a number for x). I took the script that FitCD gave me and (leaving the PAL box checked) imported it into Virtualdubmod, extracted the audio as an uncompressed PCM wav file, Then encoded it as an mp3, keeping the same sample rate of 44100k and the same bit rate of 128kbps. In Virtualdubmod, used the xvid as the compression codec, keeping the same frame rate of 25fps, then I added the mp3 into the streams list, and deleted the original mp3 audio stream, After all finished processing I would listen to the new avi and the audio would be out of sync (although it is in sync as an wmv file, prior to any processing). Why is the audio file out of sync?

  2. DirectShowSource("filename.wmv", fps=25, convertfps=true)
