Hi,
I did successfully rip a small scene which I know was at the begining of a dvd with smart ripper (guessing the .vob file)-->dvd2avi-->save as .d2v and openend in tmpgenc and code to mpeg2.
Is there a way to see what I want on dvd and see clearly the referenced .vob to rip and than edit with dvd2avi?
Specifically, I'm looking for the transition scene in austin powers where he says 'Yea Baby'![]()
thanks,
Jack

Play your DVD on a software or hardware player and take note of the chapter number.
Then, use Smartripper to rip the appropriate chapter. Convert to uncompressed AVI (or with HuffyUV) and then select the in and out points and convert to MPEG.

Alternatively, you can rip a clip of any size, from one frame to a whole DVD, using the nifty DVDx 1.6
http://www2.labdv.com/dvdx/download.phpAs Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."
