OK I bought the editors tool kit pro from digital juice.
    And I run FCS2 on a Mac.

For some reason when I render out an overlay or something
it's real choppy and pauses when viewing.

If I render it out in HDV60i it shows perfect, only the background
video doesn't show. It's just solid black. Making it a background and not an overlay.

What do I need to do to get this to work?
    Anyone have these problems?
Does anyone else here have anything from digital juice?

  2. Please make your subject heading match your question. I've edited it for you. Also please be patient, and not bump your topic so quickly next time. The general rule of thumb is around 3 days with no reply.

    Thanks

    James,
    the hard Questions first:

    1. Did you recently change anything in your setup?
update Quicktime? update the Apple Pro Apps?
Are you editing on the internal HD, or are you editing off
    of an external drive?

I only use the SD DJ stuff from the JumpBacks series,
which should in theory be the same things as the editor's toolkits,
in Final Cut Pro 5.04, with QT 7.4.5, under OS X 10.4.11.

I import the overlay or lower third I want, making sure to select the
version with Alpha channel on, and place it on the
video 2 or video 3 track, above my main video 1 track.
It previews fine, and export to QT .mov plays back fine.

Hope this gives you a place to start.
