Hello again![]()
This question might be either quite easy or quite hard: I need to change MPC background from black to white. Any ideas how to accomplish that?
We are talking about the small gap between video clips when they are played via playlist.
For example, VLC uses white background and that fits perfectly my video clips (they fade to white), but I would really love to stick with MPC.
I checked all the options and ini file, but with no luck so far. I'm thinking if its skinable then this shouldn't be an impossible request right? hope so![]()

You can load an external image for use as the logo/background in Options > Player > Logo. Try creating an all-white image (I don't know how large it should be, however - it might cause MPC's window to shrink or be much larger on startup, for example. Maybe at least 320x240?), tell MPC to use it as the logo, and see if that does the trick?
Edit: Probably not. I just experimented with a regular image, then started playing a video and hit stop... which left it on the regular blank, black screen. Still, if you want to experiment with it...
(Maybe someone could ask clsid to implement something for changing the background color.)If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them? -

How would one get in touch with the creator of MPC ? That would be awesome : ) -
guys do you know where I can get in touch with MPC author? I've tried the SourceForge page, but it looks obsolete. And the MPC homepage (http://gabest.org/) is not even up any more.
Pleeeeeeaseeee guys, MPC is the only player that fulfils every other requirement I need : ) -
In your install folder for MPC HomeCinema there is a document named Authors that lists their user IDs at sourceforge.

The current maintainer, as far as I know, is clsid (clsid2 on Sourceforge, apparently). Here's the contact information:

I've send messages to both clsid2 and Gabest, I think both of these people are not available any more. -
