I just bought this media player (along with the plugin that supports H.264) but my video files will not play on it, the only thing I can think of is that the player's supported resolution is 800x400 but my vids are slightly larger 848x480 is there anyway i can convert them to the next lowest resolution to play on my player?

  2. here are the specs with the plugin.

    With optional software plug-in:
HD support: MPEG-4 (ASP 720p) & WMV HD (MP 720p)
MPEG-2 MP@ML up to 10 Mbps (up to DVD resolution) and AC3 stereo sound (5.1)
H.264 up to DVD resolution with AAC

make sure the video and audio are both in spec - you should be using 720x480 using h.264 with aac.

  4. you probably need to re-encode both the video to the proper size and the audio to the proper type. if you don't have any encoders then maybe give avidemux a try as it may be able to do both for you. megui is another option that may work.

Try MediaInfo to confirm exactly what it is, as VLC tends to use mpga as a fallback for anything it can't work out correctly
