    Hey folks,

I've used video burning progs for a few years, but I lost on this problem, and any ideas would be appreciated.
I can start my program (does the same thing on Nero or ConvertXtoDVD), get to the point where I pick my video file to burn (either avi or mkv), then the burning program just disappears and I'm back to desktop.

Since it happens to both programs at the same time, it seems to me that there must be a system or processing file that somehow is missing.

Again, any help would be appreciated.

Does it happens exactly after you picked the video file?
Can you play avi,mkv fine in windows media player?
Have you installed any other video programs or video codec packs lately?

Yes, it happens immediately after I pick the file, and the mkv file doesn't play in windows media, but the avi file does

just still confused, and thanks for asking
