    i have a nonbrand Intel process computer with XP Pro that i installed SP3 and now it does the non stop continuous reboots. i can even get to reboot in safe mode. any ideas how to remove sp3? im in recovery mode now

    If you really have an Intel CPU, it's going to be harder to fix the endless reboot problem. The easiest fix is for HP systems with AMD CPUs that reboot because HP foolishly did not follow Microsoft's explicit instructions for how to make their installable images.

    i did the repair of the gdi32.dll but that didnt help

    I removed mine by going into Control Panel/Add and Remove Programs.
    SP3 was listed their and I just clicked it away....

    no in the cd recovery console.

    but anyway i got it to boot.

    I had problems with SP3 too. Luckily I was able solve them with a system restore. I'm not sure if it's worth the effort to try and solve the problem(s).
