I have good sized flv clips which i wish to transcode to mpeg for archive purpose.
I want to know whether procoderr can input these files or is a certain plugin required for the same or it just does not handle flv inputted files?
Which format should i convert to initially so that there is no (or little) quality loss when i convert from flv? Is avi uncompressed a good option in terms of zero loss?

just burn the flv's to dvd as data and store them. no format is going to make them look any better than they already don't. they will just get bigger in size and uglier if you encode them to any other format. ok so you could encode them to a lossless codec format and make them 100 times as big but just as poor in quality.

Yeah thanks - i will store thaem as flvs too but since i need to insert into ppt i will need a ppt supported format such as mpeg.
The point is what conversion will yield a zero loss (or pls name some lossless codecs)
