I don't have a standalone DVD/VCD player so I couldn't verify it. But I tried with both DVD-ROM and CD-RW drives and the problem is intermittent.
I recorded some TV shows (NTSC) and converted to VCD format using TMPGEnc VCD template. Using Nero 5.5, I also created a VCD menu and burnt one 80 min CD-R per two 30 min shows.
Using PowerDVD 3.0, when the disk is played, the menu screen comes up. I enter the track number in the keypad to jump to the specific track. Sometimes, after jumping to the beginning of the specific track and playing 1 video frame and audio for couple of seconds nothing happens. If I stop PowerDVD and play again OR simply drag the progressbar, everything plays normally. As I said earlier, the problem is intermittent and annoying.
Has anyone seen this? Is this something to do with VCD menus? How do I get rid of this?
Any help will be appreciated.
