I'm making a still/no audio menu from an animated/audio Main menu and Extras menu (most of the other submenus are already stilled/no audio), but when I play the dvd in my player, it won't go to the Extras menu when selected. If I don't shrink the Extras menu, it can be activated when selected. Any ideas how to get it stilled and working?
On a small note, one of the submenus didn't get stilled/de-audioed. Not sure why.
I can't use Vobblanker instead because it's a mulitangle dvd.

I haven't done what you want using VobBlanker, but I believe you can use it since you're not changing the angled video in any way. I could easily be wrong about this, but have you tried? Just ignore the warnings VobBlanker gives you when opening the DVDR. There's nothing to lose but maybe 10 minutes of your time. You'll still have the original DVD in its original form.

i tried VB and it won't process multiangle dvds.

  4. Then unless the menu VTS is the same as the main movie, you can just process the menu VTS. But now you'll tell me they're both in the same VTS.

Sorry, but I don't have an angled DVD on the hard drive on which to practice.

    Same VTS.

Fyi the shrunk menu video file works in the computer (Media Player) , and the dvd-rw plays fine in a Panny recorder; just not in my Pioneer player. However, I'm not convinced it's solely a dvd player issue since it normally plays everything.

VB automatically sets all multiangled areas, etc, to "Skip." If I change it to "Process," the first video is doubled (added to itself at the end) and the other angle video isn't available. However, the menu is shrunk, so technically speaking, that part works. In fact, it shrinks one of the submenus that Menushrink seems to have missed. I burned an RW and my Pioneer player still couldn't access the submenu "Extras." I guess if it did work, I would try to replace the original menu with the VB shrunk menu. Another symptom with the VB shrunk menu is the dvd player gets confused if I chapter-forward past the initial warnings/intros (most of which I would blank in pgcedit, if the menu worked).

  6. And I don't suppose you're willing to get rid of one of the angles?

Actually I split the original dvd (I believe with pgcedit) awhile ago, and they came out perfectly. Now I'm weeding thru my dvdrs, and decided to just shrink the one original dvd, instead of having 2 dvdr. I doubt I could re-combine the 2 dvdr into it's original multiangle format (and shrink).
