    Hi !

You can try this way :

First you download GPL Ghostscript at http://sourceforge.net/projects/ghostscript/ and install it.

Then you can open your PDF file with a software that allows you to view and convert graphic files like XnView (http://www.xnview.com/) in order to extract the picture as JPG.

I tried Foxit but the PDF is copyrighted. It would not snapshot.

  7. I use pdf password remover for protected pdfs. Unfortunately I don't know of any free method

And then you can use Acrobat or Foxit mentioned above to take snapshots.

    In Acrobat, click:
    "Advanced" > "Export All Images..."
    Follow the prompts.
Note that I said Acrobat, not Reader.

Photoshop can read PDFs (even multipage) and then export JPGs.

I didn't know PhotoShop could do that ... I'm in Linux right now and tried GIMP and it read a couple of PDF files I tried. It can read it as one image with each page a layer or you can open each page into it's own window but that took forever.

Doesn't seem to be an easy way to save it all to individual jpg images though without doing it manually which would take forever with very big PDF files.

    P.S.
GIMP is a freeware image program and is made for Linux and Windows. Maybe MAC as well (don't know).

PDFs are good for output, but a pain in the ass for source/input.

I use a print buffering program called FinePrint that allows you to (among other things) 'print' as a JPEG file at your choice of resolution. I bought it years ago for $15 or so, looks like they charge a bit more now.

  20. Export All Images only exports images, what about the text on the page?

Set up a print driver that "prints" to an image file.
Googled for "print to tiff", found this free software http://www.landonline.govt.nz/system-support/software-downloads/printer-software-xp.asp on the NZ govt site; so I think it's safe enough.

just export to jpeg and the entire page with all the contents will be converted to an image...it seems you're not adept to this procedure?

You're confused. If you export images you only get images that are in your PDF, no text.

However, if you SAVE AS, & select JPG, it saves each page, text & photos.

Hope this is more clear for you.

  24. Alternatively you can use this plugin in OpenOffice.
Just download it and doubleclick it to install it.
    Import your pdf.
And export to jpg page by page.

  26. Alternatively you can use this plugin in OpenOffice.
Just download it and double click it to install it.
    Import your pdf.
(If the layout looks wrong it might be because you do not have the original font of the pdf installed on your computer)

To export all pages automatically I've coded this OpenOffice extention:
    http://download.videohelp.com/tin2tin/ConvertToJPG.oxt
Download this and install it by double clicking it.
Tools > Macros > Run Macro (tutorial here)
    Select My Macros
    Select Slideshow
    Select Module1
    Select ConvertToJPG

Now all the pages will be exported to a folder .../user/OpenOfficeExport/
And all the files are called something like: dvdslideshowgui-en-2011.05.24-19.56.54_1.jpg

(the reason for the naming is because I coded this for PowerPoint import into DVD slideshow GUI)

Not sure what you trying to achieve but:
    http://www.image2pdf.com/
    http://online2pdf.com/convert-png2pdf
    http://www.verypdf.com/tif2pdf/png-to-pdf.html
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/jpg2pdf/

and there is plenty similar programs on internet, there is open office, inkscape, scribus - almost any modern "graphics" software is capable to export pdf
