ok guys, after having tried everything i can think of, i'm at a loss, so i'm hoping someone here can point me in a direction i am not aware of.

sources used, all HD DVD rips:

Mrs Behavin XXX

Barely Legal 75th Anniversary Edition 2008

Black Widow XXX

Island Fever 4

software used:

Evodemux

TsMuxeR

AviSynth

various encoders and players.

file's properties, as confirmed by Evodemux and TsMuxeR:

Black Widow (the one that gives me the biggest problems):

1 video stream, 1280x720, VC-1, level 3, 59.94 fps, pulldown added

3 audio streams, all AC3, 1 @ 384kps, 48 Khz, 6 channels, 2 @ 192kps. 48 Khz, 2 channels

tried to demux and then remux into m2ts (blu-ray standard) container, results in quasi-corrupt file; can only be played with The KMplayer (tried VLC, SMPlayer, Media Classic and Home Theater variant, all choked on file), tried to rebuild EVO file using EVOdemux, resulting rebuild makes no difference, tried frameserving original evo and rebuilt evo using avisynth with just the following command:

DirectShowSource("C:\Black Widow")

tested script by opening with KMplayer, works fine, tried to load it into TMPGEnc 2.5, TMPGEnc Xpress 4, Main Concept H 264 Encoder, Main Concept Reference, Procoder 3, Sony Vegas 6d, QuEnc, AviDemux, all either froze up or gave me an error message that no video stream was found.

the other 3 files can be opened, but the resulting transcode is of the wrong frame rate, it either runs too fast, much like holding the fast forward button while watching a vhs tape, it runs too slow, as if it's in slow motion, it's jerky, as if frames have been dropped or the audio is way out of sync with the video.

is this something endemic with the EVO container, the VC-1 codec itself, the tools that i am using, the procedures i have tried to use, a combination of the above or something i am unaware of?

any help is appreciated.
