    What's the best video converter and video joiner, be it free or paid would you recommend?

    I tried Total Video Converter 3.12 (trying to convert a 1.3GB .mpg (320X240) video to (720X480) .avi (Xvid) and that thing wouldn't even start and just disappeared after I clicked on "Start", lol.

    Thanks redwudz , AutoGK is GOOD! (even a newbie like me can use it on 1st try).

    AutoGK only outputs to .avi, is there something like AutoGK that will output to .wmv or other popular formats? (.mp4 etc).

    Xvid4PSP converts to both formats.

    I don't know of anything that would enjoy joining a 320 x 240 clip with a 720 x 480 clip in one pass. You need to either blow one up (and it will look awful) or shrink the other down first.
