    1) I just bought a Plasma HD TV a few months ago, so I can receive HD Channels. When I start recording NFL Games on HD channels, will the DVD be HD or does it depend on the DVD Recorder?

    2) Is there a faster method to go from DVD->FLV: DVD Decrypter->VOB file->Mencoder->FLV file?

    3) 45Tripp started a thread to upload higher quality Youtube video. You would change the hexcidecimal values of the FLV file and make the video appear longer. I believe I read that you cannot do this anymore. If true, how do you increase your Youtube video Quality?

    1. Standard DVD recorders just records in dvd quality. Or else it would be called a hd recorder.

    2. Xvid4psp. Import the dvd and convert to flv (or to mp4 h264,aac that also is supported by flash).

Depends on how you go about recording it to dvd. There is a way to put HD on a regular dvd. Last I heard you could fit 30 minutes of HD onto a DL dvd. That would take approx. 10 dl discs for one football game. Is that something you are really considering?

    Thanks for the responses.

Baldrick, what is http://www.vimeo.com/? Is it a better alternative to Youtube?

Also, the problem with DVD straight to FLV is that I will need to cut the VOB files using MPEG Stream Clip or DG Index as obviously I will not upload an entire DVD to Youtube.

    Nope.

I just wanted to know if my recordings would be just like they were last year when I had a CRT Television. Looks like it will be as I dont have a HD Recorder.
