Hello,
I just replaced my DVD burner with the Pioneer 116D (upon Budz's recommendation in another thread)
No installation problem, Burning fine (with ImgBurn) but when verifying there is a parasite noise in the speakers, Play back is also fine but there is still that noise. It did not happen with my previous burner nor does it with my DVD rom.
I checked the connections but they seem ok.
Any idea what the problem is?
Another issue is that Disc Quality in Nero DiscSpeed failed: "This drive does not support this function".
Thanks

Since I am running XP and I do not have a separate sound card, i just had to un-plug the audio cable.

Cant you verify the burn in a different drive? that may also give a truer reflection of the burn quality.. Are you talkng about the audio cable that allows direct playing of CD's into headphones?
