    reinstall it into a new directory. That should help. Make sure you have the latest version of vdub that you are trying to use also.

    I downloaded vdubmod from its website, i extract it and still nothing happens when i double click it.

    It was to be something concerning the service pack 3

    Yes. .NET Framework 2.0 and 3.5 (because it's required by some apps - example meGUi and StaxRip).

    I'm check VDM 1.5.10.2 (b2540 and b2542) also VDM 1.6.0 Surround (b2560).

    Hmm... maybe try add to registry this:
    Code:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Freeware\VirtualDubMod]
    "VirtualDub"=dword:00000001
    "SeenWelcome"=dword:00000001
    "SeenMatroskaDeprecated 1.5.10.2"=dword:00000001

    I've just tried all tips you gave:

    - Reinstall to a new directory
    - Registry tip
    - Install .net 1.1 language pack
    - Install .net 2.0

    but none of these helped. And as I remember VDM worked fine on XP SP2 with .net 1.1 only.

    Any more tips I could try?

    Thanks:
    Nandi
