Thank you for answering. I didn't ask the question well. I meant a way to remove those specif subtitles with text in brackets that are among the dialogue subtitles in the same subtitle stream

  3. Hehe, oh. Yeah, I thought you wanted to remove an entire sub stream.

It can be done using DVDSubEdit, under certain conditions. You'll need the DVD IFO as a source. I was just testing opening just a SUP file, and it looks like it can be made to work that way also. Subtitles can be converted from IDX/SUB to SUP and back again instantly using SubtitleCreator. Here's a guide for the use of DVDSubEdit for that:

Since that isn't quite what you had in mind, it may not be very useful to you. It simply can't be done using IDX/SUB files as a source as you'll have to modify the image files which make up the SUB file itself.

Thanks. I've just converted the idx/vob to sup with Subtitle Creator. That's an advance. But I can't find a way to open this sup in Subtitle Creator in the main window where you're supposed to remove the hard of hearing subtitles.

  5. As I said (maybe not very clearly), you open the SUP file in DVDSubEdit. That's what the guide to which I linked is for.

Sorry, you said it very clearly. With DVDSubEdit it works. Thank you.
