You've gone incognito. Pages you view in this window won't appear in your browser history or search history, and they won't leave other traces, like cookies, on your computer after you close the incognito window. Any files you download or bookmarks you create will be preserved, however.
Going incognito doesn't affect the behavior of other people, servers, or software. Be wary of:
Websites that collect or share information about you (aka We still collect all your data)
Internet service providers or employers that track the pages you visit
Malicious software that tracks your keystrokes in exchange for free smileys or a web browser
Surveillance by secret agents (aka Google's secret spy engineers)
People standing behind you

I had it on a test HDD but while impressed with it's speed and clean layout, I could not deal with the continued loss of the majority of my bookmarks which I attempted to transfer from IE 7 numerous times. The experiment is, for me, over for now. I've wiped the drive, reformatted, and cloned to it another XP Home base install, ready for the next application(s) to audition.

I gave Chrome a try. It is fast and I like that. And understanding that it's under development, I know there are bugs and issues with some web sites (like microsoft.com). However, what I don't understand is why GoogleUpdates goes off every 15 minutes. Chrome is the only Google application I knowingly installed, so I don't understand why it's being "updated" that often unless there's some type of harvesting going on.

People, who jump on the bandwagon and don't care about their privacy and/or are too stupid to find out what they're doing to themselves, absolutely amaze me. http://www.tomshardware.com/news/microsoft-internet-explorer,6361.html
"But unlike Google ’s Chrome browser, IE8 does not keep track of every keystroke entered into the address bar. In fact, the Suggested Sites feature transmits the entire, final URL once it enters into the browser’s History, and does not log and transmit cookies to Microsoft’s servers. Richardson claims that the data Microsoft logs "is actually pretty innocuous.”
Still, the information collected from IE8 remains in Microsoft’s hands for a good 18 months. Although IE8 strips the highly sensitive query string from the URLS before sending to Microsoft, what exactly the company does with this information remains a mystery. Naturally, cautious end-users are cocked and ready to retaliate against any corporation snooping in personal information, prominently usernames and passwords."
