I am trying to save a WAV in VirtualDubMod so I can use Lame and encode it to CBR MP3. The source format it's in now is MPEG-1 layer 1, 2. Here is the error I get while clicking the save WAV and I get the error after I enter a name and click save.

No audio decompressor could be found to decompress the source audio format.

The source may have MP3 audio already.
If you haven't already installed an MP3 CODEC:-

Download and unzip Lame 3.98 to a folder.
    http://www.rarewares.org/mp3-lame-bundle.php

Right click on LameACM.inf and select 'Install' from the menu.

    Try VirtualDubMOD again.

I already have Lame and the error above is the first time I got it. Normally I am able to save it but it won't let me DeMux it nor save it as WAV.

Suggest you drop the file into GSpot and post the result.
