expanding menus

I was wondering what program I could use to add some text when someone clicks on the menu. Either expand or come out from the top,side etc.. Here is a example hope you understand lol.

Switched motion menus.

The DVD spec doesn't allow for a whole lot of control or interaction. To do what you want to you have a couple of choices.

The simple solution is one main menu, and a duplicate with expended text for each menu option. As the user moves up or down, the menus auto switch to the next appropriate menu screen.

The more complex solution is the same as above, but instead of jumping to a static menu, you switch to either a video clip showing the text expanding, then to the next menu, or to a motion menu that expands to achoice, then waits for the user.

Neither are really difficult, but you need to plan it out and create all the assets.
