  1. After tinkering with settings forever and a day, I think that I've finally
found the settings to produce an (X)SVCD that I can live with. My problem now has become the authoring/burning.

I've been using VCDEasy to generate my cue/bin files and for burning a seemingly endless series of coasters. Everything has been going fine with
it until my last few burn attempts. I keep getting a message similar to:

"mpeg stream will be padded on the fly -- hope that's ok for you!
    ....
mpeg stream contained no scan information (user) data
autopadding requires to insert additional 109849932 zero bytes into
MPEG stream (due to 398007 unaligned packets of 398008 total)"

and then the resultant bin file is to large to fit on an 80min. CD.

I've been using a bitrate calculator to get my rates for generating my
mpeg (using TMPGenc w/ 2pass VBR). I've had got results, size-wise, with all of my coasters. I'm not sure what the problem is.

The only thing I can think of that is any different from my coaster burns
is that this mpeg was generated from a deinterlaced avi (had to do it to
work around some picture quality problems).

Could the deinterlaced file be my problem? Is the padding that VCDEasy doing necessary? If not, is there a way to disable it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
