    Folks,

Is there a utility somewhere that can detect and display the audio offset value in a H.264 TS file?

I'm converting some of my .TS files from a Hauppauge HD PVR into CineForm in TMPGEnc, then editing them in Sony Vegas, but the A/V sync is roughly 6 frames out. I'd like to be a little more precise than that, so something that could display what the audio offset in the original file is would be a huge help.

    Any pointers would be appreciated!

  2. mediainfo (view=>text) it will give you the delay on the last line

6 frames is a significant delay. I suspect something else in your workflow is contributing to that

Thank you, that's just the ticket.

With the original .TS, in the "Audio" section MediaInfo is showing a video delay of -120ms, which according to my maths is three frames with 25fps material. That could well be about right, my six frames figure was a by-eye guess.
