I record TV shows everyday using a DVD recorder (using DVD+RW discs), process it using DVDShrink/GuiForDvdAuthor etc and create a DVD disc. This requires me to make sure there is always a disc in the DVDR with enough space... and it requires intervention at inconvenient times etc... I thought that a DVD recoreder with a hard drive (HDD) would help and purchased one. But now I am realizing, since I want post processing / shrinking (if necessary) with DVDShrink etc, I would be transferring the HDD content/titles to a dvd+rw and at 4X speed, it would take about 30 mins to transfer 4GB from the HDD to the disc. Doing it for 20 titles on the HDD can be ver time consuming... and then I have to reauthor them again on my PC
Is there a alternate device / setup equipped with a hard drive (so I dont have to worry about capacity of a recording) but with the convenience of immediate transfer to PC for processing etc, and also supporting timer recordings?
Thanks.
