Hi. I accidentally backed up one of my son's movies 4.7GB, and after I backed it up, i accidentally broke the DVD, it slipped out of my hands and while sitting down, I rolled over it with the chair. I had just backed up this DVD the day before, but deleted the file. It was too large for the recycle bin, therefore it completely deleted. I was researching and found these two programs. Diskeeper Undelete 2009 and Get Data Recover my Files. Can anyone give me there opinion of these programs. Gladly appreciate it.

  2. I haven't used either of these programs.

The general rule is do not use the computer that you want to recover on or you will reduce the likelyhood of success.

Thanks for the response, Yes I know that. I have 3 different hard drives. HD # 1 is for my Vista 64 OS, HD # 2 is for my files + Music backup and HD # 3 is for my movies, when ever I back them up. Unfortuently I deleted this movie the next day, and bingo i broke the original. Hope someone else has an opinion.

It's not free, but R-Studio is excellent to recover data.

However, it would be cheaper to buy the DVD again ...

  5. Vidd, Some movies can not be bought on DVD.

Movies available only on VHS. Yes you can recapture and remake with work
Movies that are rare or only available overseas are hard to get. I'd like to get the last two series of Hi De Hi a British series about a fictional summer camp, Maplins, for example. Amazon uk has them.
    Home movies.
    and so on.
