I'm using Windows Vista and have a weird problem.
I have many movies ripped to an external USB Hard Drive in DVD format. When I play from this drive I can change the subtitles from the Windows Media or Nero Showtime menu, but I always plays the english subtitle.
If I burn the files in a DVD media and play from the DVD Reader, IT WORKS FINE!!!
So I think it has to do with region codes or something. I live in Mexico and my DVD is set to region 4.
Any ideas???
By the way, i tried firs with the included Nero codes, then wit Vista Codecs Pack 4.44 and later with klcodec370f
Thanks!
Alex

I tried mpc before with the same result. I tried vlc now and I can choose between 4 options
Pista 1 (english)
Pista 2 (Spanish)
Pista 3
Pista 4
If I select Pista 2, it shows the english subtitles. If I select the "Pista 4" , I get the spanish subtitles!!!
So, it's somehow solved. What is weird is, if this is wrongly ripped, why it works pefect burning a DVD...
Thanks for the help!
