I usually prefer a Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack.

Every time I convert an MP3 file to AC3, even when I select "5.1" on the audio channels, it just converts to stereo audio instead. It was 5.1 before (about three months ago), but now it doesn't do that anymore. Are there any bugs for that?

Unless you started with multiple channels, you would end up with stereo AC3 from a MP3 source. You can maybe create a 'pseudo 5.1' , but I'm not sure that program can do it. You might look here for a different method: https://forum.videohelp.com/topic326127.html

Actually, never mind -- I figured out a different way, and it worked. Thanks for trying to help anyway.
