Just wondered if anyone knows or if anyone has tried connecting a Pioneer Hard drive to a computer, and if so is it compatible (file format). Would like to copy everything off of the hard drive to my computer and a direcct connect is much faster that one DVD at a time.
Thanks

And how would you do this? Take the Pioneer apart and connect the HDD to a PC EIDE cable under XP? Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.

Unlike cable/sat DVR boxes, the Pioneer disk is unlikely to be encrypted. The question is if the disk uses PC EIDE/Partition/FAT formatting or other.

I was just asking if you expect this over USB.Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.

No not over USB. I tried a flash drive just to see if there was a way to copy to it but it doesn't appear so.Originally Posted by edDV
