I've been able to get a DVD generated from "MPEG Video Wizard DVD" to play on a variety of DVD players by converting the audio to AC3 Stereo, adding an AUDIO_TS file, and shrinking the project to fit on a 4.7 GB Disc, but there is still a remaining problem.
It will not play on yet another DVD player, but with the following clue ...
When the DVD loads up on that player, the DVD menu appears but without the red line that usually appears under the "Play All" text, and then the DVD does not play when the un-underlined "Play All" is selected.
Hopefully this clue will help you instruct me as to further modification(s) I need to make to have my DVDs play in all prospective DVD players.
Should I try a different DVD authoring application? If so, which one(s)?
Thanks for your help.

GUIForDVDAuthor is free and quite good. I only use Mpeg Video Wizard for editing and demuxing. I never author in it (it is simply too limited for me). I use DVD Lab Pro for authoring, but ig you are on a budget then you can try the free alternatives (like GUIForDVDAuthor) or the budget tools like Ulead DVD Movie Factory
