    Hi,

Are there any HD-DVD players out there that support DivX? I know about the 360 playing both...are there any others? Thanks

As far as I'm aware, there are no set-top HD-DVD players that also support playback of DivX/Xvid.
If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?

  3. Xbox 360 with HD-DVD drive?

There is at least one Blu-ray player that's Divx certified (in addition to the PS3).

No HD DVD players support Divx/Xvid. None. I'm not at all suggesting that HD DVD died because of this, but Toshiba only released players that supported HD DVD, DVD and CD audio and that was it. Had their players supported more formats, perhaps it might have helped in the battle. Heck, they don't even support VCD and SVCD, although I have a DVD I made myself with MPEG-1 video and it played fine on my Toshiba HD-A30, so the players could have supported more than they did. Blame Toshiba.

Go to the DVD Players list and select BluRay and Divx as search criteria. It found 5 BluRay players besides the PS3 that claim to support Divx. Finally, please note that these players that support Divx and BluRay may not all support Divx at HD resolutions. Files with resolutions greater than 720x576 may not play at all. And my usual warnings about Divx features that are rarely supported on DVD players (GMC, QPel, etc.) would certainly apply here.
