can someone tell me what resolution to use if a movie is in proper screener... i'm making this .asf movie into vcd and i would like the pictures to fit the whole tv when watching it instead of having black top and bottom.. thanks

Hi--
VCD's have two standard resolutions--which one to use depends on where you live, since the TV standards differ in America and Europe. If you have a North American TV, you need to use the NTSC resolution of 352x240. If you live elsewhere, try the PAL resolution of 352x288.
As far as getting your movie to fit on the entire screen, go into the settings in tmpgenc and choose "Full Screen (Keep Aspect Ratio 2)". If your source is widescreen, this will cut of some of the sides. If you don't like this, you'll have to live with the letterbox effect. Hope this helped!
