Hi guys, I have a general error question.
Im trying to view some olympics streams provided by our local network, they are .asx streams which i read are windows media streams. Anyway when i open up the page (here - http://tvnz.co.nz/content/olympics_live_video) the page starts to open, I can see that it loads up windows media player and then on my system tray the ffdshow video decoder logo comes up , which I assume means that its trying to open the stream with ffdshow through WMP. This is where the error comes up, as soon as the ffdshow logo appears, firefox (and IE, i tried both) has a crashes and tells me it needs to shut down. In the error report it says that its had a problem with "libmplayer.dll".
My question is - is there a way i can dissasociate ffdshow from opening the streams on the quoted page and just have wmp open them? I cant seem to work it out, any help would be appreciated, will answer any quesitons you may have too.

Uninstall ffdshow or disable ffdshow for wmv under start->all programs->ffdshow->ffdshow video decoder configuration(or click on the ffdshow icon while playing a video) and under codecs choose wmv2->disabled, wmv3->disabled and also raw video->disabled.
Or it could also be the audio so then start->all programs->ffdshow->ffdshow audio decoder configuration(or click on the ffdshow icon while playing a video) and under codecs choose wma7->disabled, wma8/9->disabled.
