Hey,
I'm trying to save a movie file, from an internet site, to my hard drive, but when I try to Save Target As, it only saves an .asx media shortcut on HD.
How can I save the file itself to my HD??
I opened the shortcut with notepad, and it showed a bunch of IP addresses where the movie files are sent from, if that helps anyone.

the only thing i can suggest, is to click on the link, it should open wmp. wait for the entire movie to finish downloading. then click, file, save as. and save to your hard-drive.

try looking in your temporary internet files. if it's there, you'll see a movie icon with the actual url. you can take this url and download from there.
