I have a video to export on my PC to then transfer over to my MacBook Pro to author a DVD with other videos on my OSx Adobe Encore. So, I'm wondering if Microsoft DV AVI is a bad idea - can i encode it on my Mac with Encore?
Is this as much of a pickle as I think it is, or am I being silly?
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

I would suggest encoding to DVD MPeg2 in Premiere CS3, then import that as an asset into Encore.
