I'm trying to edit my clips in the program, however, the clips that are converted to 3ivX is just shown as black when I try to view them in APP. I know this codec has worked for me before, but I can't remember which codec/settings I should install/do to make the clips viewable within the program.

I can convert them to other codecs, but those I've tried made the clips up to 100mb large for a clip that's 5sec long! I don't have that much memory to play with I'm afraid.

    help!

    /Ces

    (I'm using APP 7)

3ivX video clips are absolutely NOT compatible with Premiere, nor is the format easily editable, since it is so highly compressed. Consult your Premiere users manual for compatible video file types.

that's funny, since I've been able to edit with it before, without any problems ...
but I don't have any manual, anyone care to enlighten which codecs I should go for then?

The manual for CS3 is included on one of the supplement discs that comes with any legitimate purchase of Premiere. Further documentation is also available at adobe.com, and there is a decent Premiere forum at WrigleyVideo.com

Install avisynth plugin for Premier. Anything that avisynth can handle, Premier will be able to handle as well.
Import the .avs file into your timeline and edit away.
