  1. i would like to fit large mpg1 on 1 cd-r... all divx i convert are always gig+ in size...... is there any simple way to make a mpeg1 format file smaller without changing to other formats?

    and of course the file still needs to be suitable to burn a VCD with...

  2. you could reduce the bit rate but that won't be a standard vcd any longer... most movie are 2 cds (pro or amateur)

  5. thanks alot for the replies..... hmmm i figure this would be a pretty common concern or need, i surprised there isnt anything that would just reduce the size along w/ the video-quality. but then again im a newbie to to this stuff....

  6. You can do good look at the links on the left and download Sefy's templets for TMPGenc. Sefy clames to get 110 minutes on a single CD

  7. turbodog, i never claimed for 110min on a single CD, i said 95min movie on a 80min CD at VCD Quality.

  9. I also mention that it depends on the movie, like for example, the movie Bridget Jones Diary which is 100min long, got compressed to 788mb!! using the SeVCD Template.
    Transformers the movie which is only 86min, only got down to 810mb!

    So you see, I can't predict which movie will encode more, or which movie will encode less, therefor I don't claim you can do more, I say it is possible with some movies, but not all of them.
