I'm going to Iraq and trying to put my dvd's on a 500gb external hard drive so I am using DVD Decrypter and AutoGK but AutoGK is takes an hour to do compressibility test and now it is doing a second one. I chose 700mb to make it quick. Any ideas on how to make it faster?

You could use "Target quality" rather than a predefined size. File size will be unpredictable since it will use whatever bitrate is required to get that quality level. The default setting is pretty good. Try it and see.
Using target quality , Autogk won't do a compression test and it will only run one pass, rather than two. -
If it's a newer DVD, especially from Sony or a few others, DVD Decrypter won't work. Try ripping it first with DVDFab HD Decrypter and you may find AutoGK doesn't have that problem.
And welcome to our forums.
