Hi everyone,
I'm having a problem which is more of an annoyance than anything else. I am able to sort it out but it'd make life easier if it didn't happen in the first place![]()
Basically I'm dealing with home videos. I'm editing them using MovieFactory 6 and using the subtitles feature to add the times and dates (because it stupidly doesn't pick them up by itself). I type up the times/dates and give them timings using Media Subtitler. This is where it goes wrong... when I open the subs in MF 6 they gradually go out of sync, but in Media Subtitler they remain in the right places. It turns out that when I click on a certain part of the video in MF (say 11 mins 20 secs), it's not the same part when I go to 11 mins 20 secs in Media Subtitler. So I get around this problem by going through a very tedious process... I look through to see where I want the date to appear in MF (say 4 mins 2 secs), then apply the date at 4 mins 2 secs in MS even though when it's playig in MS the video isn't at the point that I want it to be. Hope that makes senseUnfortunately as it's a gradual delay, just setting them all back or forwards doesn't help. Another option is embedding them into the videos, but I'd rather not. It creates quality related problems, and I'd prefer they were switchable on/off anyway.
So does anyone have an idea why it's happening ? And is there a way round it ? Otherwise I guess I'll have to keep doing it as I am![]()
Thanks
