    Heys guys!

I seem to be having a bit of a problem with this software, when connected to my ZyXEL Prestige660HW-T1 I can only get a maximum download of 70-90kBs and I get all yellow faces all the time on my downloads, however if I connect to my neighbors wireless I get a download of up to 170kBs+ and all green faces on the downloads!

Can anybody help me with this?

Run the NAT test in Tools->NAT / Firewall Test and see if it reports a problem. If it does report a problem you need to set up port forward on your router for the port used by azureaus or use UPnP (very insecure but does the port forward automatically).

I tried the NAT/Firewall Test and the result i got was:

    Testing port 12861 ...
NAT Error - Connect attempt to 195.226.144.231:12861 (your computer) timed out after 20 seconds. This means your port is probably closed.

I also tired to set up port forward using http://portforward.com/default.htm but i still have had no joy, however i have not set up a static ip address as i am not familiar with it. Also i tried enabling UPnP on both my router and Vuze

  6. Obviously if you use your neighbours wireless you are getting three things
    a) far better speeds
    b) far less risk of detection (if you are downloading illegals)
    c) you're not using up your Bandwidth allocation.

    Whats not to like?

I notice my own wireless connection (unsecured) is really really slow now tho?

  8. The portforward web site has instructions on how to set up a static IP address:
    http://www.portforward.com/networking/staticip.htm

Just choose your OS and follow the directions.

    UPDATE

I have followed the guide for the static ip set up and the good news is my internet still runs fine, the bad news, after continuing with the port forward guide my Vuze is still running slow with yellow smilies!

  11. The portforward web site suggests using TCP port 6881 for azureus. Have you tried that?

Not yet but what i did try was swapping my Zyxel Modem for my parent Netgear and in the few seconds I used it (was running late for work) I noticed that the Smileys had gone green but i didnt get chance to check to d/l speed.

Thing is i didnt set up any ports with the netgear modem
