I've been looking at comparisons of different encoders and some of the more advanced users suggest tweaking encoders by using custom matrices. I'm certainly not ready for that but I wondered if anyone here could recommend some links that explain more about these because whenever I type in the word matrix with any other video term I invariably get something about the film THE MATRIX (usually stuff about re-encoding that film into various formats).
