How do you Record/save streaming videos

I want to learn how to record or save videos from sites like stickam. Is there any way to save the videos or download it while it's live.

When i use camstudio for 2 hours i get an error and the video becomes incomplete. Please tell me if there is another way.

I hook the Video and Audio out on my laptop to the Video and Audio inputs on my Hauppauge PVR box. You could use a DVD recorder in a like fashion.
