I'm not sure if this has already been answered (did take a quick look through the forum though).... Can any recommend a dvd9 to dvd5 backup method. I have the standard dvd shrink . dvd2one etc, but I would like better control of the amount of compression used in each section. I prefer the 'do' the whole disk - extras included, obviously I would like less compression on the main feature and compress the heck out of the extras nothing seems to give me these options. I did try the corel software but it kept removing the audio track!!

any ideas would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks

  3. The free version of DvdRebuilder can apply more compression on the extras: 25%, 33%, or 50%.

Mode -> Steal Space from Extras.

For more options overall and greater flexibility, yes, look at DVDRBpro.

I've tried 'em all over the years, and I can vouchsafe that Dvd Rebuilder PRO wins the battle.

yip, now a fan myself. Chose 6 CCE passes in a stage of madness - took 6hrs to transcode (or whatever the word is) but the output was fantastic.

    Thanks again everyone.

p.s. thanks for the 'steal space from extras' tip

  7. DVD Rebuilder is my favorite. It takes a little longer because it actually does re-encode the DVD (A good thing). The only complaint is that it doesn't open image files directly, so you have to run it through something like Demon tool Alcohol, but I personally like doing this anyway because I've got Any DVD running so if there's any dvd structure protection it will get rid ...
