I ripped the DVD "The Hunt For Red October" onto my hard drive using SmartRipper and also grabbing the correct soundtrack. However DVD2AVI won't open the files as they are from a Multi-Angle DVD. What else can I use to serve the VOB's into TMPG???
Oh and I tried converting directly to MPEG1 with DVDx but the quality was awful.

On a multi-angle feature, SmartRipper should rip only the main angle (it will automatically detect it). There is an option somehwere in the interface to enable SmartRipper to detect multi-angle segments and rip only the main angle.
