    Another good (if somewhat slower) way is to use VirtualDub, when you open the file, tick the "popup extend open options" and in the next window check "re-derive keyframe flags" - depending on how much file you've got and how fast your machine is this can take anywhere from 5 to 30 minuttes. In the end you'll have a reconstructed version in Virtualdub, you can either watch it there or save it out as a new and repaired avi
