Logix 3000 DVD player and sound problem

Just bought this player and have discovered the sound cuts out for about half a second every now and again with VCDs that play perfectly on other machines. Seems to play SVCDs fine though.
My VCDs are mainly DVD rips encoded with TMPGEnc and burned with Nero.
Anyone else had this problem and solved it ?

I use a Logix 3000, I rip dvds and encode them with TMPEGenc the write the VCDs with NTI CD maker Pro 2000, I have never had any sound probs, try NTi, it might be Nero, Hope this helps
