I just happened to be checking for an update in my Firefox 3 plugins and found these puppies there:

    Microsoft® DRM
    DRM Netscape Network Tool

    Microsoft® DRM
    DRM Store Netscape Plugin

    Silverlight Plug-in

Windows Media Player Plug-in Dynamic Link Library

None of these was downloaded or installed intentionally; what gives?

If I am not misinformed, FireFox is designed to look for
NS-plugins in the Windows Media player directory.
BTW, they are NOT secure/recommended for other browsers than
IE itself; MS has released a security patch for this issue, but I would not trust
    its alleged efficiency.
