Is there a simple way to lighten up a dark avi file, and not lose too much focus?
Thanks,
Hal

I'm afraid. I'm afraid, Dave. Dave, my mind is going. I can feel it..... Yup. Spppllttt. It's gone.

Do you mean permanantly or just for viewing?
If permanent - you have to re-encode with a filter possibly tweak some other settings (and lose quality since you are re-encoding using a lossy compression)
If just for viewing, most players will allow you to change brightness/contrast settings. You can also choose a different renderer -
Run through VirtualDub with filter to adjust brightness..contrast ..ect.
