I am trying to enable bitsetting on a Pioneer DVR215.
I in Australia. I have firmware 1.18 already on the drive. I managed to find the firmware 1.18 from Japan Pioneer.
I downloaded the MediaCodeSpeedEdit, loaded the file, it did not work.
Extracted the firmware file, message came that you can not update as it has already 1.18.. Then loaded the file in MCSE, ticked the bitsetting option, saved the file.
What is next? How do I flash with the hacked firmware?

Go to the PIONEER FORUM at Cdfreaks.com for assistance in flashing your 215 drive to have the bitsetting capability.
