  1. Hi

I have read loads of tutorials but cannot find a simple answer to this question....

If I have a DVD that is for example 8GB including extras, the movie is only 3.5GB of that.

If I rip the whole disc, delete the vobs for the extras (leaving bups & ifos for everything including deleted vobs), if i use ifoedit to resequence the ifos, can i just burn what is left to a dvd-r ?

If yes, do i need to do the ifos in a certain order ?

If no is there a similar thing i could do to just get the movie ?

    Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Hi Bob

One suggestion would be to use Cladmdec to rip the cd to your HD.

The reason being - in cladmec you can specify which pcg (program chain group) to rip, DVD's can often have multiple pcgs for example pcg0 might contain the main movie, pcg1 the trailers, pcg2 copyright warnings etc etc.

All you seem to need is just the main movie pcg.

One way to find which pcg you need is to check the time length which is written next to each pcg in the pcg menu list in cladmec.

Check how long the actual movie is then pick the matching pcg and rip it.

Might be and idea to check this site out http://clonead.cjb.net

    hope this helps
