I am using the software, allok video to mp4 converter, to the embed subtitles permanently into video.
The embedding, with this software, is faster and simpler than any other soft wares that I tried before (apart from files that include ac3 sound which can be solved differently and easily).

There are two methods to accomplish embedding subs with this software:
    1. Automatic embedding, where as the names of the video and the subtitles are identical. The software activates ffdshow automatically.
    2. Initiated embedding, where as the names of the video and the subtitles are not identical. The software is doing the embedding without activating ffdshow at all.

    The problems:
    1. Until recently I used the first method without any problems - Automatic embedding.
With this method I could also control the font size.
Suddenly, the software stops activating ffdshow and embedding the subtitles (I don’t remember the exact event that causes this).
And also I cannot control the font size.
Strangely MKV files are exception, for which everything is OK.

    2. Unfortunately I am using now the second method – Initiated embedding.
But I cannot control the font size.

    The questions:
    Regarding the first method -
    1. What could be the reason for this problematic change?
    2. Is there a possibility to correct it?
    3. What can I do to correct it?

    Regarding the second method –
How can I control the font size?

    Thanks

Use instead xvid4psp. Load your source and the subtitle files. Select a mp4 profile. Convert. DONE.
